We have been living the fulltime RV life for over 5 years now. We have been talking a LOT about how we need to get started on doing regular blog posts. But, LIFE. It seems there is always something going on. At the time of writing this, it’s May and we are currently in Southern California after having spent the winter in Florida. We are here while Angela is working a travel nurse job until the end of the month as we prepare to leave California and join some friends in Montana and make our way to ALASKA. That’s right….we are planning to drive to Alaska. That will BY FAR be the most extensive travel we have ever done with the RV since we started the fulltime RV life in 2018. That means LOTS of preparing and planning.
We have never really been the boondocking family. We have almost always stayed in RV parks. That means we were nowhere near ready for a trip to Alaska as we will be doing lots of boondocking with our friends. Over the last 2 months we have been steadily getting ourselves ready for the trip. We have had SO many things to buy in oder to make boondocking and caravanning with friends possible. Our rig had no solar. So we started with a small solar suitcase. That will allow us to go a little longer without having to turn on our generator. We needed things like a water bladder to refill our fresh tank, a honey wagon to dump the grey/black tanks when full and we are boondocking, etc. etc. etc. The list was so long! We are finally down to the final few things and have RV Parks booked from SoCal all the way up to Banff in Canada. From there we make our way up the AlCan highway to Alaska.
We will have some of the items we’ve been purchasing listed in our Amazon Shop, and, we will be posting as often as possible here on our blog.
With all of this, we figured that NOW is the absolute best time to start doing regular blog posts and bring y’all along on our journey.
